Volkswagen Air Ride

For years I have been traveling to German car shows looking at sweet representations of German engineering. I have seen fine examples from BMW, Mercedes-Benz, and my two favorites Porsche and Volkswagen. Nearly two years ago I acquired a 1970 VW fastback sedan. Since then I have been trying to figure out what I want to do with it. Finally I decided that I wanted to put air ride on the car. Then I looked for ways I could get credit from the University for doing so. I submitted an approval request to the advisory team in charge of senior projects and suddenly I was on my way to a senior project. I was able to come up with the documentation and requirements needed to transform my hobby that I am truly passionate about to school credits and passing a needed requirement for graduation. Over this past summer I rebuilt the engine and put new brakes on it, then started the C.A.D. work needed to fulfill the university's requirements for design. The largest benefit is that instead of just installing air ride, I now have a fully engineered, well designed, and fully thought out suspension system that I feel more comfortable driving.
